On October 30 and 31, 1999, Brian Wilson and his band joined The Who, Sheryl Crow, Pearl Jam, Tom Waits, Green Day, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris and Billy Corgan at Neil and Pegi Young’s Bridge School Benefit at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.  Moments after Brian’s soundcheck on the 30th, which was watched with awe from the wings by The Who and many of the other performers, Pete Townshend shared these thoughts.
